Australian Sevens coach Michael O’Connor has named two debutantes in his Gold Coast 7s team.
Alex Gibbon and Tom Lucas have been named in the side after their impressive performances last weekend at the Oceania Sevens which was held at the ANZ Stadium.
Shannon Walker, Cameron Clark, Con Foley, Alex Gibbon, Ed Jenkins, Tom Lucas, Jesse Parahi and James Stannard are the experienced players in the side.
The Gold Coast 7s kicks off at 12.30pm Saturday and Australia is pooled with Samoa, Argentina and Scotland.
Meanwhile, Fiji's first pool match is against Canada at 1.58pm Saturday.
Fiji's second match is against Portugal at 5.14pm and the last pool match will be against Wales at 9.24pm.
The Cup quarterfinals start at 1.58pm on Sunday, Cup semis kick off at 5.58pm and the Cup final will be played at 9.04pm.
