There is confirmation that there is shortage of O-positive blood at Suva Private Hospital.
The lab officials at the hospital say relatives of the patients arrange for blood themselves and also get much needed blood from CWM Hospital in emergency cases. They work on replacement basis.
Officials say matter is dealt with internally as blood is always short at the hospital.
According to officials blood cannot be stored for longtime which has lifespan of 30 days.
