The military is concerned about the increasing number of soldiers that are taken to court especially after eight soldiers were sentenced to four years imprisonment for the death of Sakiusa Rabaka.
Military Spokesman Major Neumi Leweni said since the eight members are part of the institution, the military will look at all legal avenues to assist them while in prison.
Meanwhile, when questioned on whether these eight soldiers will follow the same path as Francis Kean, in that he was reinstated even after a stint in prison, Leweni said the two cases are completely different and should not be compared.
Yesterday, Leweni confirmed that the military will appeal the sentence.
