A number of high profile cases had to be adjourned on Friday morning due to the absence of the presiding judge.
Cases brought by FICAC against former Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase and Sitiveni Weleilakeba, FRU CEO Keni Dakuidreketi, Former NLTB General Manager Kalivati Bakani, the Post Fiji case involving Peni Mau and Mahendra Patel were listed before Judge Justice Daniel Gounder today.
However, due to Justice Gounder's absence, Judge Justice Priyantha Fernando adjourned all matters to the 25th of June for mention.
The High court registry officials could not confirm the reason for Judge Gounder's absence.
Meanwhile, Dakuidreketi, who was earlier given permission by the court to travel abroad handed his passport back to the court this morning.
