A number of fake notes were discovered in the Western Division yesterday and Police now believe that there is more than one source.
Two fake $20 notes were discovered by a fisherman in Sarava, Ba yesterday and he told Police that a woman who had come to buy crabs handed him two fake $20 notes.
In another incident in Ba, two fake $20 and one $10 note were discovered at two different stores.
In Nadi, a 49 year old carpenter discovered a fake $10 note after doing his shopping in one of the Supermarkets.
Assistant Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said members of the public need to be vigilant while dealing with notes.
