Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho said the evolving security landscape continues to challenge Policing approaches towards ensuring the safety and security of all Fijians.

He said the Force remains steadfast in attending to the functions and delivering the services that it is charged to carry out.

Qiliho said whilst the cases of rape, attempted rape and domestic violence had captured the imagination of the communities, these offences are indicative of weak lines of defenses within and amongst families in the community.

He said the Fiji Police Force with all its resources at disposal in the year, will embark on regenerating values, creating awareness, enticing stakeholders for a synchronized approach to combating crime.
