Former Brumbies and Blues coach David Nucifora believes that Fijian born winger Henry Speight deserves a call up for the Wallabies squad.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Nucifora said with his current form in Super Rugby, there’s nothing stopping Speight from becoming a Wallaby.
Nucifora added Speight has shown the ability to score from anywhere and he would be a versatile inclusion in the Wallabies squad.
Meanwhile, Wallabies great Stephen Larkham said that it will be a frustrating scenario for both Speight and the Australian Rugby Union, who will have to wait until the end of October for the IRB to allow the Fijian-born Australian resident to represent the Wallabies.
The former Queen Victoria School student is currently the leading top try scorer in Super Rugby with 7 tries.
The Brumbies are on bye this week.
At 7.35pm this Friday, the Chiefs meet the Force while at 9.40 the Reds play the Sharks.
