The Fiji Rugby Union said there was nothing wrong with sending seven new players for the Dubai and South Africa Sevens tournaments.
The FRU has today come out saying they will continue with the strategy of sending new players to the series so they can have a strong team for the Sevens World Cup.
FRU chairman Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga added they cannot afford to send only a few new players to tournaments as they have 30 new players in the national Sevens squad.
Fiji will play England at 10.22pm this Saturday in its first match of the South Africa Sevens.
Fiji’s second match is against Scotland at 1.28am Sunday and the last pool match is against New Zealand at 5.58am Sunday.
