The Interim Attorney General, Aiyaz Saiyad Khaiyum says the Roko Tui Bau, Ratu Joni Madraiwiwi did not say anything new in his speech at the Fiji Law Convention at Denarau yesterday, refusing to comment further on the issue.
Ratu Joni said that the military simply did not have the highly specialised skills required to combat graft and corruption and that the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption should be disbanded.
Army spokesperson, Major Neumi Leweni in reply said that the military personnel appointed to the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption have legal advisers and consultants who deal with daily investigations.
Leweni added that whatever Ratu Joni says is insignificant to the RFMF.
