Digicel Fiji 7's coach, Alivereti Dere is hoping the team plays New Zealand in the final of the Hong Kong 7's.
Fijivillage asked him how he wants the team to progress in this tournament to which Dere stated that Fijians always love to play New Zealand in the final.
However, Dere said upsets can also happen and he is not ruling out any possibility.
Dere said they have to be cautious of some other teams that look really good.
According to IRB, on average this season, Fiji has made the lowest number of completed passes per match.
Samoa and New Zealand lead the way for passes made, followed closely by Wales and Scotland, whose styles both rely on keeping the ball alive.
Another interesting fact relating to tactics is the ratio of rucks contested to tries scored.
This stat shows Fiji has contested by far the least.
Dere said this is one of the areas that he hopes will work out well in their first match this evening.
Meanwhile, as a few hours remain for the Digicel Fiji 7s team's first games in the Hong Kong 7s, most fans are confident about the team.
The Hong Kong 7s kicks off at 8pm tonight with Fiji playing Hong Kong at 9.06 in the first match.
