The Suva City Council Administrator said not much work has been done in the past five years by the council to attract more cruise liners.
Vijendra Prakash's comments come as Tourism Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum during the 2010 budget forum stated that there are a number of issues which need to be looked at by the council if more tourists are to be attracted.
Prakash said they have a plan in place to see that Suva's image is lifted from what it used to be in the last five years.
Sayed-Khaiyum had last week stressed that the Suva City Council and some other municipal councils have not got their act together.
