Fiji's leading bus maker, Lal coachwork said there is nothing wrong with the bus models currently used in Fiji although the model is old.
Speaking from Australia, Managing Director Richard Lal said buses and coaches are designed and constructed within Land Transport Authority's regulations supervision and certification.
When questioned by Fijivillage News whether the bus the company makes does have emergency exits like buses currently used in Australia, New Zealand, and United States of America, he said the design and construction is within LTA's design and construction regulations.
Lal said the company believes in having the best practices and the safety for the travelling public must be paramount.
