Co Chair of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji, Archbishop Petero Mataca said the People's Charter process will go ahead no matter what the court decides on the legality or otherwise of the interim government.
While speaking on a special talkback on Fijivillage, Archbishop said he is confident that the People's Charter is the best way forward and people should focus on what they can do today and the years to come for the country.
Archbishop Petero Mataca stressed that while certain political parties and the Methodist Church of Fiji have opted to stay out of the National Council, their members are contributing in the People’s Charter Process.
He said that irrespective of the SDL, NFP and others staying out the NCBBF continues to receive submissions from their members. He said their non-participation will not stop the People's Charter Process.
Meanwhile, Archbishop Mataca also revealed that he is working with the Head of the Methodist Church to try and get Ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase and Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama to sit down and have informal talks on the problems facing Fiji.
