There was not much damage done to the Northerners by Cyclone Mick compared to the other three divisions in Fiji.

Commissioner Northern, Colonel Inia Seruiratu said the only problem was the Namau and Wairiki bridges in Bua which was covered with water.

Seruiratu said it has now been fixed.

Seruiratu said people in Bua who live near the two bridges are advised well in advance whenever there is heavy rain or a cyclone, that they are to move to higher grounds.

He did not elaborate further on the cost of the damages.

Meanwhile, Acting Director DISMAC, Pajiliai Dobui expects to release a full report on Cyclone Mick's damages today.
