Northland president wants govt included in rugby matters
That is the call from Northland President Ratu Timoci Vesikula at the FRU AGM that was held at the Outrigger on the Lagoon Resort in Sigatoka last week.
Ratu Vesikula said this is because the Fiji Team going to represent the country in tournaments overseas does not belong to
FRU, however it is the team of all the people of Fiji.
Meanwhile, Suva-based lawyer Carl Cameron was yesterday confirmed as the Prime Minister’s nominee to the FRU Board.
This brings the FRU Board to its full complement of nine directors.
The newly elected FRU Board that will meet tomorrow includes Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga, Rupeni Nacewa, Salacieli Naivilawasa, Commander Joeli Cawaki, Joeli Baledrokadroka, Napolioni Batimala, Ilaitia Tuisese, Cama Raimuria and Carl Cameron.
The first Board meeting will be held at Rugby House in Suva tomorrow.
