The people of Wailevu in Seaqaqa are working hard to see that their ginger export to Australia is a successful venture.

The Tui Wailevu Ratu Kinijoji Maivalili said exporting ginger will first of all help with the development of the village, improve the way of life for the villagers and help Fiji as well as foreign reserve comes in.

Ratu Kini said there has been a demand for ginger in the north which is why the farmers decided to go into the venture.

He said the Villagers of Nakasi in Wailevu West have just started exporting ginger to Australia and they hope to export other farm produce to Australia and other countries if possible however they need assistance in this area.
