Preparations for the annual Fiji Day celebrations in the North are well underway and today, the chief guest Commissioner Northern Inia Seruiratu , will address the crowd at Subrail Park in Labasa.
Event spokesperson Filipe Cula said that 400 students from 10 schools in Labasa will assemble at Shirley Park and march through to Subrail Park with the focus on the theme, “Diverse Harmony for a New Fiji”.
Included in the programme is the display from the Multi Cultural, Health, Fire Authority, Prisons, Police and Marine Fisheries with the local band "Nautusolo" to take the stage to entertain the Northerners.
