There has been a lot of interest generated from the Northern tourism sector, for the upgrading of the airports.
Attorney General and Minister for Public Enterprises Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said the tourism sectors have approached government to see if there can be private partnership on the upgrading of the Airports.
According to Chairman of Airports Fiji Limited Ronald Rickman he said there is a problem with the Savusavu airport because of its location.
Meanwhile Rickman said major changes are being undertaken at the Nausori Airport which is going to be upgraded to CAFI standard for international aircrafts to land.
