More than 200 sugar cane farmers had an opportunity to raise their concerns with Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama during his Northern Division tour that started yesterday.

Our reporter Shalvin Deo said farmers have claimed that they are being harassed by Land Transport Authority and are being booked nearly every month.

The Prime Minister has assured the farmers that he will seek answers from Land Transport Authority Labasa office.

Our reporter spoke to a Seaqaqa farmer Jeet Lal who said farmers are facing difficulties in supplying cane to Labasa Sugar mill.
