The Public Relations team for the People's Charter for Change, Peace and Prosperity, which is visiting the villages in Macuata have revealed that many villagers want an elected government to conduct the charter process.

Team Spokesperson Ilisapeci Tamanisau said most of those who attended the meeting have raised concerns on why the interim government wants the Peoples Charter before the next elections as they believe an elected government should be put in place first.

However, Tamanisau said they have stressed to the people that the interim government holds the key to conducting the next elections and participating in the Charter process would ensure that the military and its officers return to the barracks.
