The Northern Mystics have finally been given approval to sign former Silver Fern and Fijian International Vilimaina Davu for the Trans-tasman championship.

Davu, who was a player-coach for Fiji at the 2007 Netball World Championships, has been approved as the second ineligible player for the Mystics.

The initial application for Davu was declined in January based on the most recent assessment of her performance at the November World Championships.

Davu has now been on a training programme for 4 months and the Mystics believe her performances were now at a standard which set her apart from other New Zealand eligible players.
