Many roads in the Northern Division are still closed to all traffic.

The Acting Director National Roads Paula Baleivuka said the check done this morning by the Roads Engineers shows that the Nabouwalu Road is only open to light vehicles and motorists are requested to take extra precaution on this road due to its boggy status.

Kubulau Peninsula is still closed to all traffic due to landslides at various places while Dakuniba Road in Savusavu is closed after a landslide and West Coast Road and Nakobo Road are closed for its boggy condition.

Baleivuka said in Labasa, Lakeba Road, Nakelikoso Road and Waidamudamu Road are closed to all traffic due its boggy condition while Wairiki Road is closed after the Irish crossing was badly damaged during the flooding.

He said Nayarabale Road is closed as the Urata Bridge is still underwater. Baleivuka is calling on motorist to be careful while driving along Natewa/Vusasivo Road as the road is in a bad condition.
