Villages in the north are concerned with the increasing number of inmates present in prisons from the provinces of Cakaudrove, Bua and Macuata.

Currently seventy eight percent of inmates in Fiji's prisons are from the three provinces.  

Director for the Yellow Ribbon project Isireli Dausiga is in the North visiting schools, and educating villagers on how to help rehabilitate offenders and accept them back into the communities.
