Former All Black star Ma'a Nonu made a winning debut in French rugby for Toulon in his first game since the Rugby World Cup final.
Nonuformed a heavyweight midfield duo with French international Mathieu Bastreaud in Toulon's 53‑16 rout of Agen in the French Top 14 in Toulon's Stade Felix Mayol.
Nonu, one of the favourites to win the New Zealand rugby player of the year award is the first of the All Black World Cup stars to make his debut in French rugby, but Dan Carter and Conrad Smith are expected to follow soon.
