Netball Fiji may have to wait a while longer to find out whether they will get the visas to travel to New Zealand next week.
The Senior Private Secretary, James Funnell of Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully said the National Netball team had applied for an exemption to their travel sanctions policy in order to get visas to tour New Zealand for build-up games.
Funnell said whether an exemption will be granted is currently being considered by the Ministers.
He said the speed of the decision rests entirely with ministers but they are aware of the team's travel plans.
Netball Fiji is hoping to get the visas by next week so that they can fly out on Thursday.
Coach Melissa Walker has lined up matches with Samoa, Cook Islands, South Africa and New Zealand, as part of the build-up to the World Youth Netball Championship that will be held in Cook Islands in September.
