There is still no word from the leaders of the Methodist Church of Fiji as the Vanua of Rewa await for an official response on the cancellation of the annual church conference.
Chairman of the Development Committee in Rewa, Pita Tagicakiverata said although they heard about the cancellation from the media, they want the official word.
Yesterday Permanent Secretary Information, Lt Colonel Neumi Leweni reiterated that their decision is final adding the government will not change their stance after discussions were held by some church executives to approach Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama again to reconsider their decision to cancel.
