Several areas in the Central Division will be without water supply for the next six to eight hours as water pumps at two reservoirs have broken down.
Divisional Water Engineer Central/ Eastern Samuela Tubui confirms that due to a pump breakdown at the Savarua reservoir, people in Samabula, Delainavesi, Lami and Veisari are without water supply which is expected to be restored this evening.
Tubui also confirms that the greater Nasinu area is also without water supply this morning after the pumps at the Wainbuku reservoir were tripped due to power failure.
Areas in Tovata, Makoi, Navewakau, parts of Caubati, Savutalele, Sakoca, Tacirua heights, and parts of Cunningham will be without water for the next two to three hours.
Tubui confirms that water trucks are on stand by and will be dispatched to the affected areas if the water cuts are prolonged.
