The Fiji Under-17 soccer team players have been told not to play a waiting game as they did against American Samoa in the Under 17 Oceania Football Championship play offs in New Zealand.

Coach Hussein Sahib said while the side managed to score a total of nine goals against American Samoa, the side gave away a lot of ball and the players have been told that they cannot afford to do the same this afternoon.

They will be taking on a Papua New Guinea side hungry for a win after a 2-0 loss to Vanuatu earlier in the Tournament.

The Hussein Sahib coached side currently top the points table in Group A with three points and a win against PNG will put the side in a good position to play in the finals.

The game gets underway this hour while also in another Group A match to be played today hosts New Zealand will take on Vanuatu at 4pm.
