No upsets have been recorded so far at the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament which is currently underway at the Post Fiji stadium and Suva Grammar School ground.

All the top teams have won their opening pool games and are now preparing for their second round of matches.

The Papua New Guinea National side which is the only overseas team in the tournament and is also taking this tournament as build-up to the Hong Kong 7s won their opening match beating Army by 12 points to 7.

Sigatoka Police is another team to beat as they won their opening match over Namata by 19-0. Etonia Naba and Iliesa Ratuva are playing for them but they won't be considered for the Hong Kong and Adelaide 7s tournaments, as they have been dropped from the training squad after failing to attend the Fiji 7s fitness test last weekend.

Other big guns who won their opening matches were defending champions Nawaka, Prison Gold, Lomaiviti, Waimanu, Red Rock, City Eagles and Namoli.
