No travel for Tuisolia
High Court judge Justice Salesi Temo read out the ruling by judge Justice Daniel Gounder and said the decision based on the fact that Tuisolia had willingly refused to obey the court by not signing his fresh bail papers when his case was transferred to the high court earlier this year and also the fact that his restaurant business was put up for sale.
Justice Temo also added that it was a standard procedure to surrender one's travel documents as it was the practice in most criminal cases.
He also added that there was no breach of freedom as the accused was not in custody.
FICAC had sought an application on the variation of Tuisolia's bail conditions after revelations that he had allegedly applied for a job in New Zealand and added that letting Tuisolia travel was a flight risk as there was a material change in his personal circumstances.
Justice Temo in ruling told Tuisolia to surrender all his travel documents in the next 24 hours and not leave the country when his case was pending and without the court's permission.
Tuisolia faces 44 counts of fraud and is alleged to have used his company's credit card for his own personal use.
