Chairman of the Constituency Boundaries Commission has confirmed that they have not been given any deadline to complete their work before March 2009 when elections are scheduled to be held.
As the Boundaries Commission prepares to meet tomorrow, speaking to Village news Suresh Chandra said no directive has been given to them to complete their task has to be completed within a certain timeframe.
Chandra also revealed that they are now awaiting technical assistance from Australia to get work started.
Meanwhile, the Constitutional Officers Commission chairman Rishi Ram confirmed to Village News that the interview of candidates for the Supervisor of Elections post had to be postponed and will now be conducted sometime this week.
Ram said they hope to make the appointment soon.
