Secondary Schools in the Northern Division will not be participating in any sports in the second term.
This means that there will be no representation from the North as most of the secondary schools sporting competitions take place in the second term.
The President of the Northern Principals Association, Kamlesh Prasad confirms that all Principals in the North have decided not to participate in any sports as their focus is on academic work for term one and term two.
He says they do not have enough time to participate in sports in the second term.
Prasad adds the Education Ministry has given them approval to compete in various sports however the final decision lies with the school principals.
