Digicel Fiji 7s Coach Alifereti Dere confirmed that there will be no replacement for Ilai Tinai in the extended member squad that is currently in camp.
Dere said he will only select his final 16 member team from the pool of 20 players that he currently has for the last two leg of the IRB 7s series.
Despite Tinai’s absence, Dere is confident that there are other players who can step up to the playmaker’s role.
Fijivillage also raised the question on the leadership workshop attended by the players.
Dere said this is vital for their decision making on the field.
Meanwhile, the Digicel Fiji 7s squad will be having their fitness test tomorrow with the final 16 member team to be named this Friday.
The Scotland 7s will be held on the 4th and 5th of May where Fiji is pooled with Australia, Spain and Argentina.
