The Education Minister, Filipe Bole believes that there will not be any problems if teachers start migrating to Australia.
After reports that an Australian based teacher recruiting agency called Smart Teachers is in consultation with the Fijian Teachers Association after several teachers showed interest to work in Australia, Filipe Bole said most of those interested may be retired teachers and it will be no loss for Fiji.
However, the FTA General Secretary Maika Namudu confirms that many working teachers are also keen to work in Australia. He said the Education sector in Fiji could be severely affected.
