Despite the dry weather conditions, there is no cause for alarm at this stage for the residents in the Western division who are receiving piped water supply through the Water Authority of Fiji.
The Public Utilities Ministry has today confirmed that water levels at the major reservoirs in the Western Division are at a healthy level and it will not affect their supply.
Spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete said the Water Authority's latest update on reservoirs in the Western Division indicates there is no cause for alarm to areas which are supplied within their metered grid, as the levels are at a satisfactory level.
She added this applies for all the major reservoirs up to Ba.
