“No money, no problem.”

Those were the words of Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan when speaking to the New York Times when they questioned him about his life in Fiji.

Ryan told the New York Times that the system of preparing a Fijian player to international tournaments does not change.

He said at the end of the day a player will still have to pass the ball and make tackles despite having high-tech gadgets and other things.

After helping the national sevens side win the Las Vegas 7s tournament for the first time, the former England coach said Fiji is his home now after learning the culture, understanding the language and enjoying the Fijian sunset.

Ryan knew he was taking a step into the unknown when he signed his contract as the Fiji rugby sevens coach last September.

The 42-year-old said he is embracing the challenge and is looking forward to take Fiji to its first ever Olympic Gold Medal in Rio next year.

The Vodafone Fiji 7s team will be arriving at the Nadi International Airport at 6am tomorrow.
