There will be no man power loss when the National Fire Authority takes over the Emergency Ambulance services from January next year.

This is the confirmation from the Health Ministry as the two parties are expected to meet today to finalize all details in relation to the outsourcing of the Ambulance services.

Ministry Liaison Officer, Illiesa Tora said at the moment there are two different ambulance services provided, one is the Ministry's own ambulance fleet that usually deals with transfers between various Health centers and the other is provided by the Saint John Ambulance for which the public has to pay for.

Tora said in the past the Ministry would hand out cash incentives to Saint John Ambulance services but under the Review this would go to the NFA. However, Tora stresses that they are still ironing out issues before the handing over of operations.
