No further talks will be held with Methodist church executives on the issue of the annual Methodist church conference.
This had been confirmed by Information Permanent Secretary Lt. Colonel Neumi Leweni who said the government will not change its decision to cancel the annual Methodist church of Fiji conference which was scheduled to be held in Rewa in August.
Leweni said their decision stands and the conference has been deferred indefinitely.
The RFMF and Police stated earlier that in the past few months certain figure head members of the Methodist church have tried to bring instability to the country by using the church and they made their decision to protect the rule of law and maintain stability for every race in the country.
