No foul play
This has been confirmed by LA County Coroner’s Office spokesperson Craig Harvey who said the actual cause of the icon's death will be known in 4-6 weeks.
Harvey added the singer's body is now available for release to the Jackson family and then on to a selected mortuary.
The singer was not breathing when paramedics arrived at his Bel Air Home.
The paramedics performed CPR on Jackson as the ambulance took him to the UCLA medical centre.
Jackson began his career as a child in family group The Jackson 5.
He then went on to achieve global fame as a solo artist with smash hits such as Thriller and Bad.
