The IMF had also revealed that they have not received a formal request for the funding of the planned reforms.

Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimaram had earlier said initially the IMF and World Bank sent their officials to carry out checks and balances on the state of the economy adding now they have agreed to come to Fiji regarding the funding of the governments reforms.

IMF's Asia and Pacific Department Division Chief Ray Brooks said no requests has been made as yet.
