There will be no female amateur boxers representing Fiji at the Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea in July.
This has been confirmed by the President of the Fiji Amateur Boxing Association, Manasa Baravilala.
Baravilala says the decision to not send female amateur boxers to the Pacific Games was made by Team Fiji Boxing head coach, Pauliasi Ratu. He says the board has respected this decision.
He says the coaching team has only selected those who will be able to perform in the Pacific Games.
Fiji will be represented in 25 sports in the Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea which will be held from the 4th to the 18th of July.
