It has been close to weeks now since the two Tonga nationals who were arrested for being in the country illegally were arrested and are still no decision has been made on whether to deport them or not.
Director Immigration, Major Nemani Vuniwaqa said that the Department has finished their investigations and are awaiting a decision from the Solicitor General's office.
Major Vuniwaqa said the duo are being detained but are given the best treatment.
He stressed the two will either be detained or tried by the Fiji Courts or be deported.
The two Tongan nationals are alleged to have entered the country after stowing away on a boat from Tonga in 2007 and have been staying in Fiji illegally and at the same time were having normal jobs until a tip off last month led to their arrest.
