The Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority has rejected the offer from Natural Waters of Viti Limited to refer their tax dispute to binding arbitration.
FIRCA CEO Jitoko Tikolevu confirmed to Village that after advise from their lawyers the offer was rejected and they will rely on the courts for a decision.
Natural Waters said it has suggested all along that the matter be referred to binding arbitration to ensure a speedy and fair resolution to the current impasse.
Natural Waters initiated the legal action against FIRCA after its exports of Fiji water were stopped from leaving the country.
