Ben Ryan has not been given an offer to coach the Flying Fijians and neither has the Fiji Rugby Union offered to extend his contract as Fiji Sevens coach after the Olympics next year.
Ryan says he has been involved with Sevens rugby for 10 years and he is now looking for a new challenge.
He adds that this is not a change of heart as everyone has different careers and move on.
Ryan says he enjoys living in Fiji and coaching the Fiji Sevens team.
Looking at our pool games in the Cape Town 7s this weekend ‑ Fiji plays Scotland at 9.59pm Saturday, they play Russia at 1.20am Sunday and the final pool match against Argentina will be at 5.03am Sunday.
The Cup quarter finals will start at 11.04pm Sunday, the Cup semis start at 3.34am Monday while the Cup final will kick off at 6.30am Monday.
