With the Telephone Registration time frame coming to an end today, there is still no confirmation whether the registration time will be extended.
Fijivillage news contacted Vodafone Fiji and Digicel this morning and both companies have confirmed that they have not received any word on whether the registration period will be extended.
The two mobile phone operators Vodafone Fiji and Digicel had requested an extension to the time frame.
Attorney General, Aiyaz Saiyed Khaiyum when asked yesterday said that they met with the officials of these two service providers and are considering their options.
All telephone and mobile phone users have until today to register under the Telephone Services Decree.
It has been made clear that telephone services for users who do not register within the 30 day time frame will be suspended as stated in the decree.
