No cibi for Flying Fijians
Media Liaison Officer, Vilikesa Rinavuaka confirms the decision was made by the team management after the team announcement this morning.
This is the first time after 70 years, a national 15's team playing in a test match, will not perform the “ cibi " that was first introduced under the leadership of the late Ratu Sir George Cakobau in our 7 match unbeaten tour of New Zealand in 1939.
Rinavuaka says this has not affected their focus in trying to record their first ever win in Scotland's home soil as they have prepared well and have been boosted with Coach Designate Samu Domoni Jnr's spiritual message.
Fiji and Scotland have met on five occasions with the hosts winning four times, our boys' only winning once at home in 1998.
But, Scotland Coach Andy Robinson knows what is at stake and has promised his players will stand up to any challenge from the Fijians.
The Fiji and Scotland match will kick-off at 2.30am on Sunday.
