Police have confirmed that no charges will be laid against the three women who were arrested yesterday for alleged prostitution.

Police Media Officer North Constable Mika Cabelawa has confirmed that the three women were interviewed and released as they had no evidence to prove that prostitution took place.

According to Cabelawa, the owner of the building which also has a theatre was questioned and released by police.

Police were monitoring the situation for a couple of days and yesterday a senior police officer went undercover to the theatre and alerted other officers who raided the building.

The three women were warned and released by police.

Meanwhile, police are calling for information about a taxi which was stolen from Narere last night.

The driver parked the taxi to open the gate when three men confronted him and drove away his grey sprinter taxi registration LT 4064.

According to police, the taxi can be used in a major robbery.
