There has been no change to the beginning of Term 1 for the New School Year.
The Education Ministry confirmed as scheduled Term 1 begins on Monday January 25th with normal classes the next day and not the week after, as some have been unreliably and ill-informed.
This is after calls have been received by the Ministry from parents enquiring when Term 1 will begin which started from a rumour that school would begin a week after January 25th.
Education Minister Filipe Bole warned the public not to spread false and misleading information, as this would cause havoc amongst education stakeholders, especially our teachers, parents, students and school committees.
He said teachers are to report to their respective school heads on Monday January 25th for staff meetings and briefings, similarly borders need to be at school by 6pm next Monday.
Normal classes will begin on Tuesday, the 26th.
