The members of the Fiji Military Forces will not receive any back pay or any increments in the years to come.

This was confirmed by the Military Legal Director, Lt Colonel Kitione Tuinaosara.

Lt Colonel Tuinaosara revealed the increase in the military ration allowance is long overdue since the SDL Government was in power but it is morally wrong to have a pay increment now. He adds the soldiers will have to live with what they are currently receiving.

It is understood that since 2005, every married soldier, receives $105 for his ration allowance.

Meanwhile, Tuinaosara has rejected suggestions that the civil servants will get a 10 percent pay rise this year.
