The Australian investors who had earlier shown interest in buying shares in Rewa Rice Limited and improving their plant for commercial rice farming are now looking at setting up their own rice mill.
The two investors plan to set up the mill in Vanua Levu in a partnership with a local enterprise.
Fiji Trade and Investment Bureau chairman Francis Narayan confirmed Rewa Rice Limited and the investors were unable to reach an agreement.
Narayan said the two investors will soon be in Fiji to sign an agreement with FTIB.
